I try to drink the OJ for as long as I can, and then I switch to really light stuff (smoothies, soup, etc.) The best I felt was when I drank the OJ for almost a full day, so I really think it is important to drink it for at least that long.
One thing I might try next time is to drink some of the lemon drink along with the OJ. I haven't tried that yet and I think it might help.
