Dear Winnie,
A year and a half ago, my bottom front tooth got kind of loose--not too bad , but bothersome. I have two crowns on the left, and a compromised upper tooth. Twelve years ago I had periodontal surgery and have been babying them ever since -physically and financially.
When the bottom tooth got loose, I started oil pulling, and for the first three to four months, things seemed to be at least holding their own. I started taking niacin, vit.-c, black seed oil, quercitin--you name it.
Well next week, I'm having the front tooth taken out and put back in. Hopefully the surrounding teeth are tight enough to hold it in. I can now also feel pressure on the two teeth with crowns. I think it's a slippery slope for me. Also, my diet and lifestyle are less than exemplary.
If I would have wised up 15 years ago, I don't think I would be in this situation, I'm 60 and really think pulling is a good thing. It's probably too late for me, but depending on your age--save yourself.
Keep me posted, and GOOD LUCK.
