I've never seen anyone get to far with herbs. Anything that "gives you more energy" will likely make you crash, since it is essentially stimulating (Rhodiola, Maca, Ginseng, etc) Herbs that are calming are not too bad.
Herbs don't provide a significant amount of minerals or vitamins. A few contain phyto-hormones .. so that is how they work.
In my opinion, I think trying chines herbs for burnout is risky. What are they intended to do? Give you energy? That could backfire.
