Never really been able to figure out "just how much" iodine.
I'd think I was sufficient, then I'd come to realize I really wasn't.
Well, I'm taking ONLY SSKI
. I was up to 4 grams and doing very well. However, as some may recall, I started to do some thinking...
So yes, I titrated up. I'm now taking 5
grams of SSKI
Well, actually 5.13 grams. (I'm taking 57 drops, 3 times daily, 1 'dose' every 8 hours).
Yes, that's a total of 171 drops daily.
171 X 30(mg per drop) = 5,130(mg daily - or - 5.13 grams)
When I'm awake, I'm definitely awake. But my body is still not having ANY trouble sleeping. None Zip Nada
Getting sunshine, too.
The main thing I wanted to report today is something quite dramatic (to me). Even though I've now been supplementing Iodine
consistently for over 6 years now, I know (now) that I was not sufficient.
For one thing, I'm sure my not-so-perfect diet has NOT helped in that department. However, my skin is improving dramatically.
Typically, for me, a bruise will take a good two weeks to fully heal - especially a big one - the kind where I get bashed really really hard.
I had a huge bruise on the back of my calf, near my heal. Based on the size and shape of it, one could ask me, "What happened? Were you hit with a baseball?"
It got really dark and purple. That was just a few days ago.
NOW (by appearance
) I CAN'T EVEN TELL IT WAS EVER THERE! YES! I'm YELLING! lol
I don't believe a bruise has EVER healed that quickly for me in appearance. In all honesty, however, I must report that when I feel
it, yes, it's still healing. But the very hard impact internal knot I got with this bruise is unlike others. This one isn't near as hard or painful as past bruises.
Another thing. My eyes. I am awaking with some hard crusties coming out that I have to wipe away in the morning with a wet washcloth. FINALLY (more) swelling is coming down out of my eye area.
I am so stoked about this skin thing. I've heard it said that the health of the skin basically tells a person if IT isn't right, you can bet your insides have problems, too.
So, for me, to see my skin improving like this, only gives me increased hope for my internal being. My whole temple.
I still must add my disclaimer, though. I will not and do not believe that I must (nor should
) take megadoses of SSKI
forever. I am treating myself as my own doctor as if this was a prescription with a limited timespan. In some medical articles I've read where certain skin conditions (i.e. fungal) can take up to a year or more to heal with the right prescription. Since I've had ringworm (a fungus) in the past, and candida, and many infections, I'm pretty sure that saying I almost died when my child was a baby was not finding me to be melodramatic.
When I feel more secure in the knowledge that I'm fully healed, then I will slowly titrate back down to a maintenance dose. This is something I've read about other nutrients as well (like megadoses of vitamin C).
When I plan to titrate down, my plan is to take a full two months to do so.
I will report as Led.
Oh yeah. Another cool thing. I haven't needed my chiropractor! Which is cool, of course, cuz I need the money to buy all this sski!
The Lord does work in mysterious (and wonderful) ways!
