Amen Hopinso...living in the Ozarks and drinking the water there was the culprit in my formation of "kidney grit". The water can even taste great but the limestone is just a problem. When we distilled the water one session left behind a gritty, crusty deposit which is so telling!
I think every place is different but certainly I would rather have clean distilled water and take extra minerals rather than go through passing kidney stones again! Not to forget to mention whatever else has dripped into the bedrock and been absorbed into the water. I spent a year living on a hundred acre farm on "Lead Hill". It was beautiful and the water had a good taste but tests revealed dangerous amounts of lead in the water. I did not even distill that stuff, just cooked with and drank bottled water.
Here in Texas, rusty deposits are the main problem. We have a whole house filter but my Waterwise distiller should arrive tomorrow and it will be interesting to me to see what is left behind when I distill the water that comes out of the filter. I did not want to begin another long fast without using distilled water, you all having convinced me that distillation is the best alternative to wondering what we are drinking!
blessings,
