I see both sides of this issue.
One, is for the
growing body, the other, for the body that is no longer in the stage of continued growth.
At least, that's what makes sense to me, and, eating seasonally.
If memory serves, Trap's grandson is only about, what, 2 1/2? Give or take? He's definitely still closer to the age when he was on mother's milk, which is
highest in
carbohydrates,
then fat,
then protein.
Mother's milk has less than 1% protein, actually.
I, for one, being grown, am presently on a mostly fruitarian/raw diet, but I know it's temporary. I love and crave meat way too much to stay on it at 100%. I did have a steak 9 days ago, and the craving hasn't returned. However, when it does, I will definitely eat a steak. I'm learning to listen to my body better.
I do believe grains have their place, but today's grains have been altered by man. Even our "organic" corn was developed by Native Americans. It doesn't develop without man's intervention - same with bananas.
Craved steamed brussels' sprouts with lots of butter last night! Today, I feel a need to get back onto the raw.
All I know is that for me to be able to eat meat more often, without it blocking me up, I need to heal my gut, which was pretty much destroyed as a baby when my mom started me on grains at only one month of age.
No, lol, I don't blame her, bless her dearly-departed but ill-informed soul.
Iodine saved my life. And I thank God for it, for it is now helping me focus upon what I wish I could have gotten through my brain years ago:
improve my eating habits.
