..seems that there is a thriving colony of...something..
some sort of microbe/protozoan?...very tiny..most are
barely visible even at 400x. Some of them are larger..
..and all a mystery at this point..and probably will be
until I can get the old war horse microscope upgraded.
I really need to do some editing on this video..
but I am...too damn tired to even think about arm wrestling
with "movie maker" tonight...so will post the raw video
now...just 'cause all that "blinking" and "flashing" is
* it is..of note..that the only place I found any of these
..umm..critters..is INSIDE a bubble of morg gel..
none of them were "free range". And that bubble is laced
with pigmented gels.
...again with the pigmented gels seeming to support all
sorts of growth and..activity.
? really getting to suspect that the pigmented gels are
in fact an Alternative Chemical Energy source..for those
microbes that know how to use it..
...[.."they had ACE...and they know how to use it..."..
...after a few hours sleep it occurs to me that I
failed to mention that the flashing and blinking
light is not being generated by.."them".
The effect is only observed when top illuminating them
with a powerful white LED flashlight...
as they cavort around, the light falls on different
part of their structure..causing the "glitter" effect.
When the view switches to bottom lighting, the "flashing"
ceases..and they appear as they really are..tiny critters
wandering around inside a goo ball.
...as there are something like 300 species of bacteria
resident in the human mouth, the odds are good that these
guys are quite harmless..
..at least they are not some species of spirochete..
......otoh...if they were spirochetes...this microscope
would not be likely to detect them in the first place.*
*I watched some vids on YT about spirochetes as they
are being detected in the mouth by smart dentists who
look for them...using phase contrast microscopes.
It was...amazing..to see how densely populated with
spirochetes some mouths are.
