I'm so sorry you're feeling this, but I am happy that I can help you. I was on Paxil for a little while and needed to get the dose raised a bit. When that happened, my legs would feel like electricity was running through them, and I could only help them if I moved my legs to a different side- but that only helped for a couple seconds (you can imagine the annoyance my boyfriend went through!). My doctore never heard of it either, but she persisted in looking things up. ..
The first steps you should consider is whether or not you are eating healthy, and are you getting enough exercise?
I made sure both were a "yes" and I drank warm milk to relax me, etc. It didn't work.
My doctor decided that the Paxil had this side-effect and that I should switch to something with fewer side effects, but that still did the job with my anxiety. I'm now on Celexa, and have been for half a year now, and my legs stopped twitching since the day I switched medication.
Talk to your doctor and mention this story to her/him. It could be you are on too high of a dose, or it could be that your body has a hard time handling it.
I hope I've helped you. Please fill me in as to your results!
