I wanted to add JSL that my bottom lip hasn't "come back really bad" you are comparing two different things on my lips. You are comparing a beginning cycle to an end cycle. If you want to see the progress on my lips you have to compare an end cycle to and end cycle to see what actually is healing.
For instance, the last ending cycle was in week 30. If you compare the two you'll notice the build up is not nearly as high, and is much smoother in appearance. That is the progress my bottom lip is making.
The reason my top lip looks like it does is because it was the last area to get EC. It start out on my bottom lip for over a year before my top lip became affected. So it is likely that it will be the last to heal, if you believe the same theory as I do.
However if you want to see a part of my lip that is COMPLETELY healed, check out the following two pictures. I actually wrote Healing2021 in a message about it a day or so ago, as I just noticed it!
Old picture from a couple months in: http://bit.ly/XrpNPm
Newst Picture: http://bit.ly/Qtzqu8
If you zoom both pictures in and look at the top lip at the small line running where my lip meets the normal skin, you'll see it has stopped flaking completely! And also the skin directly below has started, what I am calling the "beginning stages" of EC, which should be the ending stages of healing for me. I remember my lips doing this in the beginning and I would rub it off "thinking" it was nothing...boy was I wrong, haha.
So there I have my first completely healed part of my lips, which doesn't turn white in the shower, and doesn't flake at all.
