My name is ahmed. Am pretty new to this forum ; have been on it a lot though. Sadly, about 3 months ago my lips started peeling. At first, I didn't really know why it was happening ; thought it probably was chapped lips. However, as the months went by I reckognized that this condition was a chronic disorder. Thus, I started researching on the topic. My background information around that time would be : that I was VERY VERY unhealthy.. I had a strict diet of burgers. Also I stopped exercising at all. Started prefering socialising at school to it. Since then I have had a tough roller coaster ride. I've never felt so depressed in my whole life. I can't eat and drink infront of people fearing that my lips would go white. I can't go to the pool with my mates ; their starting to not like me anymore. Every morning I would rip off the dead crust. My confidence had come from skyhigh to rock bottom. Life isn't the same anymore. I pray to god everyday to help me to find the cure to my lips ; hoping his gonna respond before school and I firmly believe so.

Anyways, enough with the emotional talk. I have cancelled out the majority of things that could be causing this.
1) Vitamin/mineral deficiency - I've been taking vitamins for sometime now... No real improvement.
2) Allergy to toothpaste - I stopped brushing my teeth with toothpaste .. Again no real improvement.
3) healthy Diet - this kind of made it better
4)Fasting - skin stayed on lips for longer ; due to the lack of eating.

However, I have come to the conclusion that my problem is being caused by candida. I am not 100% sure how reliable the candida spit test is... But I have tried it a dozen times ; the water had gone cloudy and spits have formed. However, I also have noticed that I do not really fit into the oral thrush criteria due to the fact that I don't have white substances on my tongue etc. But have read on the net, that it could be causing peeling lips. Also, I've had a bad stomach all my life. Thus, it could be candida in my intestines. Am not really sure about this theory that candida overgorwth could be causing lips to peel. But my spit does become cloudy and form strings when I do tbe spit test. Anyways, I tried curing the problem with yugurt and had seen amazing results. However, tomorrow I will visit my doctor for proper medication. Do you think that candida can cause chronic peeling lips / exfoliative cheilitis.

Furthermore, I feel really tired. My appetite has become really bad. I have lost a lot of weigth in that time.

Am kinda praying to god that it isn't exfoliative cheilitis as its uncurable by doctors... Would candida be curable easily ?
