What I think Pokermaniac is talking about is balancing body pH through meal pH balancing.
The body will keep pH in balance drawing alkaline minerals sodium/potassium/calcium/zinc from bones/kidneys if it has to, thus alkalizing meals prevents the body from de-mineralizing itself.
In my case, things went terribly wrong from the past year of heavily restrictive no carb/no Sugar
anti-candida diets. Going too low carb will cause ketosis. System stress alone has effected my body pH, no doubt.
What I'm struggling with is things like Vit-C being paramount to healing yet, high daily doses require supplements which only draw the body further out of pH balance. Also, it's my understanding making the body more acidic aids in keeping candida in check but, this works against body pH. Many candida diets include foods which are of an acidic pH which also works against body pH. Yet, another enigma to the candida syndrome.
Anyone else care to share, please chime in.....could use help in understanding this, despite pokermaniac's generous information.
