I would totally have to agree with you about the power of the sun and its importance in our lives.
THE BEST OF THE BEST PAST MEDICAL DOCTORS SUGGESTED EVERYTHING WE KNOW OF, "ALL" CAME FROM THE SUN AND WE ARE COMPACTED "RADIAION" AND THE SOUL PURPOSE OF EATING IS TO SEEK TO BALANCE OUR OWN INTERNAL RADIATION BY EATING OTHER RADIATION.
Like most people I was brainwashed into thinking that it should be avoided and too "not have too much", for many years.
THE BEST EYE DOCTOR WROTE THAT THE SUN HEALS THE POOR EYE AND DR. CHRISTOPHER WROTE THAT THE SUN IS MORE POWERFUL HEALER THAN ALL HERBS COULD POSSIBLY BE.
Recently we have been having good weather so I have tried to take advantage, and to be as close to nude as decently acceptable as possible!
MY MOST FAVORITE DOCTOR OF THE PAST, WALKED AROUND AS CLOSE TO NUDE AS LEGAL ALLOWED IN CANADA AND CLAIMED HE COULD WORK NUDE IN SUB ZERO WEATHER FOR AN HOUR IF NEED BE. HE 100% BELIEVED THAT HAVING CLOTHS TOUCHING OUR SKIN EFFECTS THE WAY WE REACT TO COLD/HOT AND I 100% BELIEVE THAT AS WELL......IF YOU ARE CLOSE TO NUDE, YOUR SKIN WILL REACT PROPERLY, IF YOU HAVE A LITTLE CLOTHING ON, YOUR BODY MAY REACT TOTALLY DIFFERANT AND THEN YOU THINK YOU ARE TOO COLD, TOO HOT, ETC...AND THE SAME GOES FOR OUR NOSE.....AN ORGAN WITHIN THE NOSE MAINTAINS PROPER BODY TEMPATURE AND MOST LIKELY MANY THINGS EFFECTS THIS ORGAN.
However, I have found that if I get even 20 minutes "pure sun" (and avoiding it when it is directly over head), I will feel quite .... well.... hard to describe, but maybe fatigued for the remainder of the day? I am certainly not running around with bags of energy .... that's for sure.
I make sure I am not dehydrated by drinking plenty of fruit juice/distilled water to the amount you recommend daily.
MANY TIMES A CLEANSING EFFECT MAKES ONE WANT TO SLEEP OR REST AS THE BLOOD SYSTEMS ARE WORKING VERY HARD AND WE CLEANSE BEST WHILE IN DEEP SLEEP.

THATS IT, JUST "PLAY", ALL ELSE IS NOT NATURAL AND MAN LEARNED.
Is it most likley because simply I am not used to it and just need to build up my tolerance, maybe more slowly?
I remember watching a video by Dr Christopher once where he mentioned sunbathing to a couple and I think he said just do 1 minute a day front and back and build up progressively (though I cant remember the total daily amount he recommended).
I guess this would be a better course of action.
Though I guess the issue with this is our summers are usually not that great, so one needs to make the most of the day's sun when it is there!
I HAVE 2 BOOKS FROM 1950 THAT COST $50 EACH BACK THEN AND THE AUTHOR AND HIS WIFE WOULD RETURN TO CUBA AFTER TEACHING IN THE USA AND LAY IN THE SUN ON THE SAND AND BURN OFF ALL THE DIRTY SKIN OR WHTA THEY CALLED THE ACCUMULATED WASTE FROM THEIR TIME IN THE NORTH...
I DO NOT LIKE A SUN BURN AND DO NOT BELIEVE IN SUNBURN, BUT BELIEVE THE SUN IS NOT HARMFUL WHEN RESPECTED.
