I'm in my 8th day, on my 21 day fast, so far my ankle has improved greatly, inflammation has gone down about 70-80% and pain has reduced greatly, still affected area is very tender when I try to put some weight on it but I'm happy with my progress so far.I have to consider that I stopped taking ibuprofen on day 3 so its been 5 days on water only.
Now on my general overall condition, I have great energy, feel great clarity of mind, I do have a coated tongue(no foul breath)and have this sensation of a very mild fever all over my body(body temperature wise) like my body feels hotter, specially my torso
To be honest I'm really loving this experience so far, I enjoy drinking my water(drinking to thirst around 2 litters/day)
the only area of mild discomfort is the mouth, have a metallic taste, lips mildly dry sometimes, plus the coated tongue
I can see myself doing a 20-30 fast/year in the future, regardless of health condition
I would love to do some activity while fasting , but in my present situation I'm limited.
I've been reading this forum for inspiration and the work of sith lord and master of the dark arts of fasting, Dr Shelton
=P so I'm already aware of concepts such as, healing crisis, genuine hunger, detox while fasting etc
maybe one day I can fast until I can achieve genuine hunger and my tongue gets completely clear, I don't think 21 days will be enough, however I definitively will be adding periodic fasts for the future
