I have no lack of deer ticks in my yard the past 9 months and a few dog ticks due to a relatives dog that stayed with me for a "couple days" and them laying eggs.
Preliminary experiments show specific frequencies can kill deer ticks with Rife frequencies within 12 hours when the tick is within 1 foot of the SC-1A.
The frequencies used were 2750 for about 2 hours. Also, the CAFL frequencies were used for 3 minutes each of 7989, 289, 737, 738, 271, 671, 773. Duty cycle 50.
More experimentation will be done to see how close the tick needs to be within the SC-1A, which frequencies are responsible and for how long.
This info is especially helpful for those with a powerful unit such as PERL.
Other ways I've experimented in the past is 20 mule borax mixed with vinegar and a little ivory soap. This will kill ticks within minutes of contact. This works very well however, this will kill grass and I assume other plant life.
I've experimented with many different pesticides and while they work OK, there needs to be a "very large" concentration for it to work. Ivory dish soap mixed with a garden hose sprayer (the kind used for fertilizer liquids such miracle grow or pesticide use) works better than pesticide use. The downside is it's the soap suds that does the bulk of killing and thus takes a very long time to apply to the yard.
