Hi all, I have almost reached the end of day one of my water fast. I have no grand plans for how long I want the fast to last. I have read that 21 days is a good number, but I will see how I feel. I will definitely do at least ten days.
I haven't felt that hungry or had any discomfort today other than just emotional discomfort. Food is very stimulating for me and I do miss the satisfaction of sitting down with a nice meal. I even went to the grocery store to buy water and managed to just shake my head at the aisles of wonderful food and smells, and just walk out with 4 cases of water and some cleaning products. :( It was sad but I did it...
I have heard that if a person can just make it through the first 5 days or so, that things get easier. Is this true? I don't think today was that difficult really, I just missed the stimulation of eating and the relaxation of it.
When this fast ends, whenever that may be, I am going to clean up my diet significantly. All last month I gave up sweets and candy, and only had maybe one fizzy drink/soda a week (when normally I could have had a candy bar a day and probably 2 sodas). I noticed I definitely felt better and I even lost the taste for candy. I still enjoyed the soda but I did find i could only drink a small amount before I felt my body protesting at the
Sugar overload.
I guess I do have a slight headache right now and my throat feels a bit dry, so i am trying to drink more water and see if that helps. I would love to hear from people who are also on a fast and read about how your days are going. <3
