Yesterday I was feeling a wee bit 'under the weather' (I have a floating wisdom tooth that sometimes gets infected, and it acts as my 'barometer' for infections). I took a Tablespoon of Echinacea with a super-duper Superfood and didn't think much about it...'went to sleep last night as usual.
I woke up today noting that the area around my wisdom tooth was inflammed, and that my jaw by my ear was very tender. And my my 'morning clearing' of my throat & lungs was producing a very deep rattling cough....but absolutely ZERO sinus congestion, runny nose or anything typical. Hmmmm
Oh well, I'll just monitor it and see where it goes (poured myself some Echinacea in a glass and walked away from it due to a distraction...and forgot about it). I really didn't feel that badly. duh me
By the time the early afternoon rolled around, we were hungry...and made big taco salads. After I ate about half of it; and then whatever it was HIT ME HARD. I became totally shaky/weak/exhausted, and my liver felt like it was on fire every time I coughed (my lungs feel extremely heavy, and my cough is a deep/racking cough...where each cough triggers another and you have those mini-throw ups).
I sucked down the Echinacea and crawled into bed around 3:30...and somewhere between 3:30 and now (7:00pm) I developed a fever of 102.7, and chills/sweats like I've NEVER experienced before. I was (and am) going from icy chills to deep sweats every 2-3 minutes. I felt too weak to get out of bed (and too friggin' cold) from 4:30/5:00 onward, so I finally got up when my mouth was so parched (and my bladder so full), I couldn't lay there anymore.
I've just slammed 1/2 a SuperTonic + Echinacea (Herbal Blitz). I want to take a hot shower (but feel like it would exhaust me). My liver obviously needs a Coffee-Enema
(and likely the rest of my body, too)...so after I've given the SuperTonic/Echinacea some time to 'work it's goodness', I'll decide what to do.
I have 2 major emails and 2 major posts I was going to do this afternoon and evening...but that obviously isn't happening (my apologies).
Light Bulb! Thursday was Rick's annual physical at the VA, and I went with him...it was crazy (as usual). Have you had your annual flu shot? Pneumonia? Tetanus? "No thank you, no thank you, no thank you!". And I said..."we don't want any of your steenking mutated pathogens"!
But it looks like I got one anyway, without even being stuck. This is just crazy...alternating chills/sweats 2-3 minutes apart; extreme lung congestion with absolutely no sinus, nose or throat drainage; exhaustion; and a deep/hot/heaviness in my liver. One things for sure, it is NOT a natural bug!
Okay, well, I'm off to fight the good fight. 'Don't know when I'll be waving the victory flag, but you can be assured this lil' bugger is NOT going to have full reign in my body!
