I also had mine surgically removed, but it was lying against my bowel and hadn't punctured (yet.) They say it could have gone through my womb wall or up my tube to get out. My Dr., who I'd trusted for 11 years, told me not to come back for a post op, but I did because I was still having pain in that area. Then he was extremely rude and said there was no reason to have pain and I was totally healed. But I had pains on that side for months and have always wondered if my reproductive system even works any more after that.
Are you having pain? Are you keeping a copy of all your medical records? There were 2 lawsuits going on last year. One in New York and one in South Carolina. BUT, you have to have a copy of your records and it HAS to say "perforated." My Dr. was a _________ so he avoided the word perforated and so I have no case. I even have an
X-ray showing it out of the womb and no case. Please get a copy of your CT scan.
Also, you may want to have your female hormones tested before removal. Many of us have had problems with VERY low progesterone. I regret not getting tested till 5 months post removal, because now I have no comparison. I strongly feel I absorbed a huge amount of fake hormones all at once and that is why I can't get balanced even 2 1/2 years later. I got full on osteoporosis by age 35. They say saliva is best but it is $150 or more. But I think blood is better than nothing. There's a certain time of month to do it.
I wish you the best of luck. Please let us know how you are doing.
