The usual warning is that babies under 1 shouldn't consume honey. I've always given it to babies under one and had great results. I don't know why they have a new age of 2 for that. Probably distancing themselves further from any associated risk. I've never found any. I read that 2-3% of babies under age 1 may have a problem with honey. I've always given my kids honey from 5 months on. I use raw, UNHEATED honey, which is higher in enzymes.
