If you are going to get a flour without bromate in it then it should clearly state this on the label "unbromated". It can be purchased at the health food stores. =)
My Case for Wheat for many who are giving it up just because:
I find it interesting they have destroyed our wheat source in some manner and yet it is NOT genetically modified like all the other grains that they are putting into GF foods and products. Does not matter if it says "organic corn flour" or "organic soy flour" etc. it is still GMO.
Personally I believe the surge in gluten sensitivity is directly related to the damage wrought upon the intestinal tract from Genetically-Modified-Organisms
foods thus causing the body not to be able to handle the NON gmo wheat. Not that there aren't true celiacs out there, there certainly is, however, I don't believe it to be as common as all that either except for the added Genetically-Modified-Organisms
foods in our food supply giving rise to intestinal problems.
Wheat has really taken a beating but if you are truly wanting to eat wheat and not have the sensitivity, might I suggest steering as far away from Genetically-Modified
products as possible. Yes, even those lovely organic corn chips. Just make sure to make your own unbromated or check out Whole foods for unbromated pre mades.
