I have a question about storing grains. I would like to keep a few months supply on hand. There is a company that sells an organic local grain which I like. The sell it in 1lb bags and then a very large one of 20lbs.

Even though there is a little discount (not much though) with the big 20lb bag, it is just one huge bag and once opened no proper way to seal, other than tape it up.
In the past I would put a drop of your oregano oil in there once opened, and then keep the bag in a fridge.
So I tend to prefer the smaller 1lb bags, then at least the majority is sealed from the supplier when not in use.

But I wanted to check. If I were to go for the 20lb option, what would you do to store the grain once the bag has been opened?

TAKE YOUR SEALABLE PLASTIC CONTAINER, USE A COTTON BALL OR JUST SMEAR IT ON THE BOTTOM OR SIDES SOME PURE OREGANO OIL. THEN SEAL THE LID..........THAT IS WHAT I WOULD DO. NATURALLY YOU CAN FREEZE IT, USE OZONE, BUT YOUR GOAL WOULD BE TO STERILIZE IT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE TO STOP THE GRAIN FROM BEING ATE TOO FAST...

MY FAVORITE ALL TIME AUTHOR USED RAW GRAIN DIRECT IN THE MOUTH ONCE HE RESTORED HIS BODY TO PERFECTION AND CONSIDERED IT SUPER FOOD.

I CONSIDER IT MOUSE/BIRD FOOD.
