Wow 67! But if it's helping that's great!
I have Menieres disease, have had it for 20 years, so of course it's non mirena related. However, Menieres causes me episodes of vertigo that can last for hours or days. I only get a few attacks a year now and they are manageable. But just thought I could list some things that have helped me over the years and perhaps this might work for you too?
I take Ginger tablets (ginger tea is good too) and this helps open up all the passages in the head and ears and really helps, also good for nausea. Drinking peppermint tea also helps, but for the dizziness you have to drink a cup every hour. Avoid salt at all costs as this can make your vertigo worse. Salt is a big trigger with vertigo and I can't stress that enough.
I don't add salt to anything and haven't done for 15 years. I avoid salty food whenever I can, as there is salt in everything naturally anyway. After all these years of no salt in my diet, I can taste the natural salt in food anyway. If I have say take away pizza one night (full of salt) and then have something salty for breakfast I will more than likely have a vertigo attack within one hour.
Was just a thought.........:)
