I have a better solution that is FREE. Go for a walk TWICE a day. Work your way up to 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. If you can go to one hour on at least your morning or evening walk all the better. Try some steep hills on one or both walks and walk at a swift pace.
Walking twice a day revs up your metabolism as well as weight training. My DH tried everything, low carb, no carb, low glycemic, all the supplements mentioned but still could not get his fasting bs below 120-130. (He does not and will NOT take medication)
Since he has been walking daily he enjoys 80-110 range consistently. NO NEED TO PAY ANYONE ANYTHING and certainly not $150..... but you might spend a few bucks on some new walking shoes........
