The problem with the QUESTION is that BOTH diets can contain sugars so the question doesn't really make sense. The difference between the two are related to ANIMAL products, not sugars.
Whichever way of eating (WOE), as long as you watch your sugars, and molds, etc (like raisins, beer, etc.), you will do best.
