Hi I'm 54 and have had a saliva/blood tests and was told I was bordering on adrenal fatigue. I have a sick daughter and decided to put all my efforts into helping her and ignored the doctors warning. I have a very physically/mentally stressful job as well that I am happy to have in this economy. About a year ago after ignoring my doctors warning and recommendations (a full spectrum of vitamins, supplements) for a good 6-8 months I began breaking down. Anxiety, couldn't sleep, light headed, uncalled for fight or flight rushes ..........
I started following my doctors plan about 6-8 months ago and have been taking "Night Gain" and " Vital Adapt" a few months ago. I was better but still being drug down by my stress' (and caffeine) So I found this diet to follow
http://www.adrenalfatigue.org/diet-for-adrenal-fatigue.html
and I feel very good, I think I have all the tools in place to function on a day to day basis.
My question is am I going to heal or just cope?
AS a side note I had symptoms and diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 28 years ago and frequently suffered the symptoms in one form or another during 26 0f the 28. 6 years ago I had all my many many mercury fillings removed and 3 years ago I removed nightshades and corn from my diet. For the last 2+ years I have been totally symptom free but feel the stress on my body and mind over the 26 years left me with a taxed adrenal system?
Thanks for reading.
