(For those reading that won't understand why I've included some of the things I've included, it's because I'm answering the post above, as well as a PM. Y'all know I don't answer PMs/emails regarding health issues, but I want to get jboy some answers. So I'll reply 'in stealth' to some of his questions/issues here, as to not betray his privacy, but yet offer him some thoughts & answers).
I am SO sorry you're having to deal with the itching. Assuming you're still thinking it's scabies, I just want to warn you that you'll easily find hundreds of reports on the 'net that it doesn't work. Please consider trying the (much healthier and likely far more effective) suggestion made previously for hydrogen peroxide & borax. Here's one post with the instructions (from here: http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/scabies.html#BHP_56031)
When my Doctors office was open that next morning, I was the first in line. He diagnosed us as having scabies and prescribed permethrin for us both. IT DID NOT WORK! Second application DID NOT WORK! So I hit the web, stumbled across Earth Clinic and began researching treatments for these evil mites... We have suffered 4 weeks with of lack of sleep and we cut off the connection with family and friends in fear the too may be infected with our unwanted critters. I would recommend to anyone that has Scabies to try the Borax Soak- With all of the hair brained things we have tried this was the only that showed any progress for success... 3 cups borax, 2 cups epsom salt, 2 cups hydrogen peroxide in the hottest bath that you can tolerate. Soak for 30 mins. Do not rinse, pat dry and apply clear fingernail polish to the bumps. My theory was it would suficate them. We repeated this soak twice a day for 7 days. At the present we are on the road to recovery...(fingers crossed) I only have old bumps that have now dried and are fading and my hubby has 2 red angry whelts along with older bumps drying and fading. This is a far cry better than the HUNDREDS of spots, bumps, whelts, patches and brusing (from scratching)We will continue to do this soak every other day forever or until we have had zero break outs and all spots are healed for at lease 2 weeks. Please keep in mind... I had our home sprayed and carpets cleaned along with wearing all clothing once and washing clothing asap in hot water and borax.

And another (for spraying it on):
Try this. My spray bottle was 8 oz so I'd say approx. 1tbs of borax, 1 tbs of peroxide, and 6oz of warm water (you need room to shake the botte to mix) Shake well the borax has to dissolve."
You can order the borax online (search for "20 Mule Team Borax") or call around your area - it's an old-time laundry detergent. You can use normal H202 from any store.
>>>I have to be deficient in a vitamin/mineral.<<< Even though it's possible, it does not have to be...especially not when virtually every symptom your experiencing (except what definitely sounds like scabies) has been reported by 100's/1000's of other people withdrawing from benzos.
You/we both know adrenal stress causes electrolyte imbalances, and you know you're consistently low in salt (as are most with strong adrenal issues). And you also know that even 'good salt' can create a roller-coaster situation. It's better to use a good/natural salt than to suffer with symptoms of salt deficiency (I prefer Himalayan)...but having a high-sodium mineral broth (lots of seaweed) or keeping some seaweed in your back pocket to munch on throughout the day would be more balanced.
Ashwaganhda root powder - 1-3 Tablespoons daily (mixed with a couple of "gulps worth" of liquid). Since I can recall nor find any of your posts saying you've tried it or used it consistently...DUDE!!! If you care about your adrenals, then GET IT and TAKE IT!!! (and if I'm wrong about you having tried it for a week or more, then forgive me for shouting).
Natural Vitamin C is important for adrenal issues (as is B-5). The best powders (easy to mix in Superfood) are Acerola Cherry or Amla Berry (you can get the Acerola Cherry at Mountain Rose or Pacific Botanicals - I like the one from Pacific Botanicals much better). As far as B-5, rice bran is very high, so you should be getting plenty with all the rice you eat.
I realize you're having allergic responses to bee pollen (B5), so that's out of the question. Get the Ashwagandha (from Mountain Rose, Starwest Botanicals or Pacific Botanicals) and start that immediately. Then give yourself a week or two on that with the Earthing and we can take it from there.
It is my VERY STRONG ADVICE (which is based on very valid evidence and truth), that cutting more than 10% of your current dose every two weeks IS dangerous and can cause you to become extremely suicidal, as well as crashing and worsening so that you have to go WAY back up and restabilize before continuing to withdraw. If people withdraw too quickly, they can do so much damage to their already weakened system, that they have to go to a HIGHER dosage than they were at the beginning to be able to stabilize. I am sure you do not want this to happen, and the only way you can prevent it is to make sure you're in a stable dosage situation for a few weeks before making ANY MORE CUTS! I know this is tough because you want to get off quickly (and now your MD is pushing you, too)...but it's your body and your life. Only you can make the right choice.
--When you switched from Xanax to Valium and hit the right amount to stabilize, you were not suicidal, having out of body experiences, hallucinating that your blood was full of poison and writing suicide notes. Remember being stabilized? Right!
After every cut in dose, you should go back to being & feeling 'stabilized'...before making another cut in dose. It's been a long time since you've felt or posted like you were stable, jboy...that means you are definitely cutting TOO FAST!
If your MD is pushing you to cut faster than 10% of your current dose every two weeks (or what is comfortable for you if it's less than that), then start looking for another MD immediately (but get all the prescriptions & refills from your current MD that you can before telling him/her).
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CURRENT MD UNTIL YOU FIND A NEW ONE AND HAVE A NEW/VALID PRESCRIPTION "IN HAND"!!!
It is possible (because it's very typical) that you will not be able to find another MD that will manage your withdrawal utilizing the guidelines in the Ashton Manual ...so be VERY careful and do not "fire" your current MD before finding one that will write you prescriptions.
If you like your current MD, you can try to work it out by asking him why he's pushing you to withdraw faster than the guidelines in the Ashton Manual, and explaining how symptomatic and suicidal you are.
I've posted all the actual adverse-effects reports made to the FDA about Celexa below. The only way I would EVER consider adding another poisonous chemical to manage withdrawal was if there was no other option available...and right now, you are unstable, withdrawing too quickly, and you have the option of adding a few mgs, stabilizing and THEN seeing if your symptoms subside. If/when your symptoms do subside, you will know that your symptoms are from withdrawing too quickly...and that you don't need Celexa (or any other poisonous chemical).
Benzo withdrawal - stabilize, cut 10% (or less) of your last dose, wait until stable (at least two weeks, for some people 3 or 4 weeks), cut 10% (or less) of the new 'last dose'), wait until stable (at least two weeks, for some people 3 or 4 weeks).
NEVER MAKE A CUT UNTIL YOUR BODY HAS ADJUSTED TO THE PREVIOUS CUT. (because if you do, you're slamming an already weakened body with a sledgehammer, and ensuring that the next cut will be harder and that you'll be more likely to have Protracted Withdrawal Syndrome).
As far as the new infections, have you tested positive? Or do you just feel like you have them? Keep taking plenty of garlic. Once I know if you've tested positive, I can make other suggestions if necessary.
Benzo hell is benzo hell :( By no choice of your own, you are having to suffer through it...but it WILL PASS, and you WILL have your life & soul back 100% intact (I promise!). The thing is, you can make it even worse than it has to be (and make it last longer) by withdrawing too quickly or choosing not to stabilize (even going up a few mgs if necessary). And I don't want to see you make it worse, because you don't deserve any more/worse 'benzo hell' than it has to be.
I think you'll be getting quite a bit of benefit (and maybe so quick relief) with the Earthing - but I don't know 'how much how fast'.
You are a very wonderful man, jboy (not to mention talented)...and you are needed on this planet by those that already know and love you, and the many (many!) others that you will meet that will love you just as much or maybe more (particularly your future wife and the children you are going to create with her -maybe yes?).
Take it slow, make it as easy on yourself as possible...and never forget that you are very VERY IMPORTANT (and even more valuable).
All my love (and Rocky's, too) --
P.S. 'Glad you enjoyed the recipe...and I'm thrilled you found the energy and time to give it a try! :)
