I used the Emerita progesterone, and the John Lee formula. I found the John Lee formula more elegant, in that it had a lighter feeling on my skin, not greasy. Even better, I liked the Pro Femme Cream at Wellness Resources. It was the lightest of all and most easily absorbed.
I used these in my perimenopausal years, and they were very helpful. At one time, though, I did use too much and it built up in my body so that I was lethargic, constipated, and bloated. I know you're listening to your body, so you can decide your own best dose. It's supposed to be helpful for sleep, and sometimes the recommendation is to take your largest "dab" at night. However, that wasn't true for me. Like everything else, you'll have to find your own best timing to take it. Good luck!
ok was so happy with this new Doctor but now im getting fustrated 2 emails and no response she wants me to use progesterone cream but in the confusion of the appointment i forgot to find out which one and where to get it anyone know is this a scriipt thing?
Progesterone creams do not require a prescription, but this does not make them safe either. Here are a few posts I did on the side effects of progesterone creams:

thanks read this one over two or three times. I have liver flushed in the past but not a fan of being a slave to the time it takes and the toilet. I am ordering some bitters today from a local company. I hope that is what you mean by bitters. here is what it contains
I have tried vitex in the past with little to no help but am willing to try it again. She did suggest that but since I did have success she went to the progesterone cream. I was nervous when she mentioned it. Asked some questions and she made it seem safe. now im not so sure what to do about it. I just know i am struggling right now big time. and when I look back at the difference between last year and this year there are two differences on is stress last year mom was healthy and i wasnt worried about her health and 2 i was able to run more but had some injuries which have taken its toll on me and the dr said due to the weakened adreanals it takes my body longer to heal and probally why i have frequent injuries .

Vitex takes at least 2 months of use to even start kicking in, so you need to be patient with this herb.

I don't know if you are in menopause or perimenopause, but as a woman ages and she starts in to perimenopause the adrenals start taking up slack for the lowered hormone production by the ovaries. As the woman goes in to menopause the adrenals become the primary source of sex hormones. Therefore it is essential to maintain your adrenals even more if you are in perimenopause or menopause. Stress, which includes pain, is one of the things that tears down the adrenals. Stimulants, such as caffeine, and steroids like Prednisone often given for injuries will also adversely affect the adrenals. Vitamin C and pantothenic acid are the most important nutrients for the adrenals. Adapotgenic herbs can also build up the adrenals. Good choices include suma, Chinese licorice root (G. uralensis), not American licorice root (G. glabra) and ashwagandha.

I am 43 and Dont believe i am going thru menopause. Interesting about predisone I had to take that alot as a teen and young adult for respitory issues wonder if that is when all this started ]
That would be too young for menopause but not for perimenopause. Perimenopause can start as early as the age of 29.
Unfortunately steroids like Prednisone are way over prescribed. And they come with numerous side effects including adrenal dysfunction that leads to a whole host of symptoms, water retention, high blood pressure, bone loss, facial swelling, immune suppression, etc.
