I do decaf coffee enemas. They seem to help give me some energy and stimulate the liver. The very first time i did one i was wired for 8 hours straight. Im very sensitive to caffeine so i did not even want to experiment with the caffeine coffee.
I do about cup of coffee and put it in a 8 oz syringe bottle. Then if your lucky you can hold it longer than 5 minutes without you feel like going to the bathroom. I try to hold it for about 10-15 minutes to sink in. It definetly stimulates bile that was evident through the colonic tube. I would do the enema early in the day cause it might be stimulating. I think bitters in general can be stimulating.

Bitters are not central nervous system stimulants that adversely affect the adrenals like caffeine.
Anyone had success with coffee enemas in detoxing the liver?
What kind of enema kit did you use? Also how much coffee do you use because I keep finding very different amounts. And are there any ways to enhance the coffee enemas?
I see you also posted this in the Adrenal Support forum. If you suffer from adrenal issues then caffeine would be a bad idea since it over stimulates the adrenals. Caffeine is caffeine no matter how you ingest it.
Bitters are a safer choice for cleansing the liver. Here is an old post I did on bitters:
As an alternative you can use either bupleurum, or triphala. Triphala is actually great for the adrenals as well.
