As I understand it,
coffee enemas are not harsh/hard on the liver. In fact, MANY Gerson patients take 2-4
coffee enemas per day. When my mother-in-law was at Dr. Kelley's clinic in the late 70's (she had terminal liver cancer, which was cured completely), she also did several
coffee enemas daily along with daily/weekly
Liver Flushing with olive oil.
What IS harsh on the liver, is for all the toxins (several months or years worth) that were just flushed, to be reabsorbed back into the bloodstream (and when ANYTHING is mixed with bile, it absorbs very quickly back into the bloodstream). When this happens, the liver can become extremely overworked (and I feel it's part of the reason why some people have extreme liver tenderness or swelling after flushing).
So, my recommendation is to take a
coffee enema (or any type of enema) anytime during the liver flush; I can't imagine how it could hurt (but I can imagine a LOT of reasons why the toxins laying around in the intestines can be the cause of MANY symptoms and problems).
Flush ON!
