It is a bit alarming with all the countries blocking herbs. Now what kind of herbs we might be asking?
EVERYTHING used in Ayurvedic medicine,
EVERYTHING used in Chinese medicine (which may put a stop or at least a slow down to the extermination of rhino, tigers and bears).
As far as I can gather any traditionally used European herbs are exempt if they have a history of use through the centuries- which kind of begs the question with regard to hemp by the way which HAS been used medicinally for a far longer time period than it has been illegal.
They've already banned kava kava, probably gingko will only be available from the big pharm companies who can afford the license, if they bother.
It is all governed by the Traditional Herbal Medicines Directive of 2004,which aimed to regulate the sale of herbal medicines by making sure every herb or mixture of herbs had been thoroughly scientifically tested before it could be released for sale.
So for example- Boots gingko tablets will have gone through the approval process - but anyone else offering gingko for sale would have to put their supply and end product through this process before it was accepted.
I'm probably not being terribly clear - the whole thing makes me so cross I can't think straight.

OMG, have I not warned everyone about this for a long time as I preached, stock, stock and stock so more. I am hoping that Black Cumin is not banned as the Americans get their stock from over seas.
As I did a local search I cannot find where the seeds or oil are banned. This is very frightening because this is just the beginning. This is just the first step to help Pharmaceuticals become king.
As I said before stock up now.
Dang, I guess this ruins my plans to sell fig leaf tea to everyone and become a millionaire. Dang, foiled again.
