You don't need to stop the Iodine to do salt loading. I think Brownstein recommends to do the salt loading 30min-1hr after taking the iodoral and increasing the frequency if you get detox symptoms like headache, sinus congestion, heavy feeling in the chest (I used to get all three). It's only recommended to stop the iodoral temporarily if you get really uncomfortable to unbearable detox symptoms so you can give your liver a break and let your body detox what was stirred up.
