My hair became very dry too, and thinned out terribly. I stopped everything I was doing to it...color, shampoo, conditioner...everything. A hairstylist friend told me to take regular Dawn dishwashing liquid and scrub my hair and scalp really well twice with it, then rinse with a 50/50 solution of apple cider vinegar and water to strip the rest of whatever was build up in there off. I started washing with organic shampoo and using tiny bits of coconut oil as my only conditioner. You have to be careful not to use too much. I stopped blow-drying and just let it go natural. I also gave myself a hot coconut oil treatment about once a week before I washed it, rubbing the coconut oil into my scalp first and then brushing it out to the ends with a natural boar bristle brush. Of course, I had nowhere to go and no one to impress...lucky me. I was also diagnosed with IBS and malabsorption, because if I did not take vitamins twice a day, my tongue would swell and crack. I started using only natural vitamins, taking the coconut oil internally, and doing the Humaworm. My hair started to grow out thicker and softer after about 4 months of this. It did not happen overnight by any means. All the color if almost grown out, and that's the only part that is still dry. The rest is very healthy, and I see new hairs coming in for the first time in almost a year. I remember looking at my thinning hair and wondering why I wasn't even getting any grey hairs coming in. I think it was the
parasites and that the chemicals had stopped up my hair follicles so much it couldn't grow, and was just dying.
Now my skin is a different story. The strongyloides have ravaged it, tearing around under the surface, scarring it up on top and inside. I am getting what the experts call "alligator skin" now because of all of this, but I keep putting the coconut oil on faithfully, scrubbing with a Buf-puf and using the
Bentonite clay, and hoping I can stop it in its tracks and maybe it won't get worse.
My fear now is that I will get out in the sun and have large white splotches on my skin. It seems the strongyloides kill the pigment wherever they set up a nest.
Only time will heal this skin problem, I fear. Dr. Bailey said cocoa butter will help, and my black friend says to buy Queen Helene cocoa butter cream and us it on my skin every day, and it will take away the scars. I feel like at this point, it can't hurt.
