I used to have frequent BM's per day, and not solid, more fluffy or loose, until I started taking probiotics every day. But what i noticed was that wiping several times a day - if you're not extra gentle - leads to irritation, and i often got a little red dot on the TP (worsened by the following:)
I've noticed a connection between sugars/carbs and a tightening and stiffness of my anal sphincter. I confirmed it again today - ate some potato chips, then a few minutes later was taking a shower and could feel, it's not really a pain but a sensation and I know that muscle ring there has stiffened. It's like that skin/ring loses its flexibility and pliability and becomes more susceptible to bleeding when wiping. It also leads to thin stools. The antidote for me has been Omega 3's (anti-inflammatories). Fish oil caps, EVOO, and walnuts which I never cared for that much, but now when I need a good dose of O-3 I grab some shelled walnuts, throw em on a plate, zap em in the microwave for 25 seconds and munch the whole plate down. It's being said by more and more people these days that
Sugar (and also flour) are INFLAMMATORY; it's been known for years.
I'm so busy these days I have no time but I'd like to do some serious research on this topic, like on PubMed. The thing I most want to know is: is it the sugars and flour that directly cause this to happen (probably through the liver), or is it candida overgrowth in the colon which when suddenly fed causes this symptom.
