Yep, I jerry-rigged mine out of extra speaker wire!

I just stripped off about 8 inches of outer plastic coating on one end, enough to make a loop where my fist can fit through it so it will dangle around my arm, and twist it and put a little electrical tape around the twisted part. Then strip a small bit at the other end to plug it in the ground of a grounded outlet, or attach to a metal stake stuck in the earth.

I made one for my bedroom for sleeping and one for my living room where I hang out and watch TV and use my computer a lot. Basically you want to be grounded whenever you're around electronics.

Also, keep all electronics at least 10 ft away from your head at night, including alarm clock and Cell Phone . My TV and radio is close to my bed, so I just turn off my powerstrip everynight before going to bed.

For about $20, you can buy the wrist velcro strap and extension cord. You can keep it around your ankle at night if it's more comfortable.
