For Parasite Warriors ~~
This responds to questions posted about early hair loss while taking Albendazole tablets or Valbazen suspension.
Reference:
Temporary hair loss (Alopecia) that occurs early in drug treatment is very rare & caused by a variety of factors:
(1) Not taking proper Albendazole dosage (400mg tab or 3.5ml suspension) every 12 hrs with 40g fatty meal.
(2) Excessive use of herbal remedies, flushes, cleanses, colonics, & other OTC parasite products. These can damage organs of the GI tract & alter the delicate balance of digestive enzymes & hormones.
(3) Pre-existing weakened or compromised liver, gallbladder, and/or pancreas functions.
(4) Other medical conditions involving the digestive system (e.g., ulcers, diabetes, etc.).
(5) Taking other drugs, supplements, or food that counteract or conflict with parasite meds. Check the link to drug monographs in each protocol for these.
(4) Heavy parasite burden or mixed parasite co-infection. The bad beast involved is usually large colonies of liver and/or intestinal flukes. Other parasites also have a nasty habit of nesting & damaging digestive system organs. And you can be asymptomatic until a hyperinfection stage is reached.
To preclude further hair loss, suggest you alternate your drug arsenal in the above protocols as follows:
~~ Rest & detox your digestive organs for 7 days with lotsa fluids, antioxidents (Vit C, Alpha Lipoic Acid, & CQ10), Milk Thistle, & lite diets.
~~ Take Albendazole (tablets or suspension), regular dosage, w/fatty meal, for 5-7 days.
~~ Then take Mebendazole (Vermox), 2 100mg tabs, twice daily, w/fatty meal, for 5-7 days.
~~ Repeat Albenza & Vermox for several cycles until infection is cleared.
This dual-drug method kills roundworms, strongyloides, & morgellons on two battle fronts ~ their nests in the GI tract & throughout the body.
It also allows you to continue treatment while giving digestive organs a rest break from Albenza ~ Vermox has a different pharmaceutical process & doesn't cause hair loss.
If you've been taking Doxycycline & Ivermectin, continue with those meds.
If you pass tapeworm segments or flukes (curled tomato skins, brown sticks, or flat tan leaf-shapes) in your stools, take Praziquantel the first 2-3 days of each cycle of Albenza & Vermox. This will preclude having to do the fluke or tapeworm protocol as a separate treatment.
Flukes & tapes are very difficult to eradicate (especially tapes without the Niclosamide), so you'll probably need to do several cycles of prazi with the above meds.
Hope this helps you in your parasite battles!
Good luck, take care, & have a happy hair day! (lol)
