Some probiotics have made me bloated because they have FOS or inulin in them... These are sugars which have causes me to get bloated. Inulin can especially cause gas and bloating. Seems like probiotic enemas are more effective. I try to find probiotics without inulin or FOS. Its hard to find a probiotic that doesnt have one of those sugars in it. I buy a coconut kefir probiotic called inner eco from my health food store and do an syringe bulb enema with it. This does give me a little bit of a die-off reaction. Capsules--I found the sunflower market brand to be pretty effective--it has acid resistant strains. I try to stay away from the FOS and inulin as much as i can. Its counter productive if someone has dysbiosis. Its hard to find a brand that works. Just make sure the company has a return policy--ive probably returned 90% of probiotics because they dont seem to be strong enough or just dont work.
