How long can kefir be kept?

I left some kefir milk in the fridge for about 10 months now.
Cant bear to throw them away as the milk smells sweet and fragrant.
Not sure if the corm and grains can be salvaged and used thou the whey has lots of threads now.

This is a reply to # 1,760,114I have drank mine a few months old...
However, if you cannot drink it... or dare not... then just try it out mixed in your soil and see what happens... you may be surprised.
I use all my excess grains and scobys this way... when I cannot give them away, and\or have enough to eat.
