to aging without illness!
HV, Can you outline what would be a simple approach to
maintaining the integrity of the body into "old age"?
I will give a few suggestions. Several people involved with my business want me to have my anti-aging formula capsuled next, so I don't want to put out all my secrets for this on public boards. Otherwise there will likely be other companies stealing my idea to make their own versions of my formulas. I have already had this happen with 3 different people who copied my original formulas I was already marketing and tried to claim that they were their original formulas. Luckily I had the proof to the contrary.
I'm talking about what's widely accesssible, (okay, in North America)) though not necessarily thought of by most.
Let me contextualize this better; I had a dream in which old ladies, very wrinkled faces, but standing tall, and looking fiercely alive, said to me, amidst a room of people wrapping thier arthritic limbs, and having to ask others to do this for them, and all being in gret pain:
"you can get old, you don't have to be sick."
And their eyes glittered so--it stayed with me.
So, I got to thinking.( as you might recally, my mother has arthritis and has had a hip replaced...)
What are the things people can do generally, day to day, not taking lots of specialized herbal powders (nothing against this btw, and it is good for a time, but I do not believe people should have to be 'bound' to any one thing,
supplement-wise/drug-wise, for "the rest of their lives".
So, what would you recommend, if you were to put togther a list?
The primary things I recommend focusing on are silica and vitamin C sources. Also maintaining stomach acid so the nutrients needed for collagen and elastin formation can be absorbed properly. Fo ti (he shou wu) in particular is a great general "anti-aging" herb.
For nutrient dense herbs/foods I recommend focusing on nettle leaf, watercress, seaweeds and alfalfa herb.
somewhere on this would have to go a form of lymphatic
attention, right? so I'd pick "skin brushing", there.
(it's easy enough, low cost...)
Yes, this will help. Remember to always "brush" back towards the heart.
Can you please give your thoughts; both nutritional and general lifestyle. (For example, how much credence do you give the idea of being in bed by 10:00--said to be best for the body's restoration. Personally, if I sleep that early, I'm up at 4, and that only works if I'm in retreat.( where it's quiet, and I can rest throughout the day.)
As for sleep this is going to vary from person to person. Not everyone is a morning person and not everyone is a night owl. Personally I have been a night owl all my life. I do not do mornings well at all and even when I tried working swing shift it about killed me. But I did fantasitc working the graveyard shift.
Think about it this way. How many people hit the snooze button on the alarm clock over and over in the morning then rely on caffeine to keep them awake through the day? Talk about stress on the body. They are fighting their body's internal clock to begin with, then crashing their adrenals on top of it with the caffeine.
I'm thinking things like, superior nutritionally-dense foods that are cheap. I'm thinking "universal", so to speak.
Some suggestions above.
I remeber years ago thinking/reading hearing about Fo-Ti,and wondering if I could grow it up here.
Here is some information on its growth:
