This person that you refer to as a "snake oil salesman" has actually given me BETTER advice than I had found elsewhere previously. Sometimes it's good to simply pay a little bit more in order to have access to someone who can give you a straight, research-backed answer, someone who makes a living treating the illness from which you're trying to recover.
Up until I found the McCombs plan, I'd tried threelac, caprylic acid, anti-candida kits, etc... all of which made me ill or frustrated with tremendous die off. If it hadn't been for him, I'd still be flushing my money down the drain and damaging my already beat up liver along the way. Some people (and maybe not everyone), actually need a plan to follow, a formula through which they can hope for an end to the insanity. I have been told by the people around me that I am far less debilitated now than I was before - infinitely more present to them, less fatigued, and more, ... I can tolerate fruit now, for the first time in years. And Dr. McCombs has brought to light some other issues that I've struggled with (and didn't even know!), like possible insulin resistance. Seriously, do not recklessly insult and toss aside someone who has the potential to help people.
I feel as if he is an answered prayer in my life, after having wasted literally THOUSANDS of dollars on threelac and all the other damaging things I've tried. Threelac helped but by no means cured me. Everything else made me ill, and, at the end of all this, I finally feel as if I can consult someone knowledgeable on the topic. There is nothing wrong with his approach, as far as I can tell. There is no one perfect formula, most of us have food allergies
and other weird issues. So what?!? You alter the diet! That doesn't mean the diet is useless.
At the very least, you can follow his diet plan and buy the supplements cheaper elsewhere.
