thanks for your last response on the dentists.
had another quick question about fissure caps.
not sure you have the same thing in the states,
but over here in europe sometimes kids get whats called
fissure caps put on their teeth.
if you dont know this term - basically it is a plastic
coating on top of the tooth, usually after the baby ones
fall out, but i know of adults who have them aswell.
apparently it is to protect the "new" tooth,
and generally they do last many years doing this.
but i wanted to check.
is this actually just as bad as having plastic fillings??
ok, it's not amalgam, but surely when one is chewing
with these on they are rubbing plastic onto food/drink
which they consume??
i only ask as my daughter was recommended by my dentist
to get them and i am not sure if they are ok or not.
have tried to find info on it but not had much luck.
any opinions would be appreciated,
