So while I was in Florida, I watched a documentary about a 47 year old woman that had a 160 pound tumor that had grown on her body. She was a tiny woman, and was trapped down by this tumor. Can you imagine? She lived this way for years! This is where I think maybe we need to give some credit to the medical field. I know in general it is good to steer clear of their methods, especially their treatment methods, and even a lot of their diagnosis methods. But this story would have to be one of the exceptions I would think. A group of American doctors flew over to this woman, Romania I think, and successfully removed this 160 pound tumor from her body. That to me is amazing, and she was so so happy when it was all over. It was very emotional to watch. She had to go through a lot of pain, especially afterwards with all the skin grafting they had to do, but she was finally free. I mean regardless how this happened and she got in this state, it was incredible to see these doctors be able to cut that off of her so she could have a normal life again and be able to walk, etc. And they said she would have died had they not done the surgery, because the tumor was sucking too much out of her.
Anyway, just thought I'd share that. :)
