We try to stay away from the chemical poisons on fruits and veggies the best we can. If you can get organic, then that's the best. I peel my apples from the orchard because locally they may have been sprayed.
We stay on the dewormer for maintenance the rest of our lives, anyway, once we've gone thru this program. That is if you don't want to get re-infested. Some bug eggs may be hiding in the body for a long time, anyway, so it's best not to let them get the upper hand again.
As to enough protein and especially the B 12 from veggies. I've read so many conflicting statements about this. Generally I think you are not able to get B 12 from vegetables and that's why vegans or vegetarians should supplement with it. Getting enough protein for body maintenance and the B 12 is the issue.
If you sift thru some of Doc's back posts on this forum you'll see he says he never met a healthy vegetarian. Their adjustments don't hold, they're pale and sickly and they catch everything going around. I don't think this was meant to be this way. Owing to the quality of what we can now get for food, maybe that has something to do with it.
The subject of getting good food is a huge issue these days with GMO products and seeds being introduced all the time. If that stuff can kill bees and birds, too, then what can it do to humans?
It's best to grow you own if you can, but how many of us have the privilege of a place with some good ground to grow stuff in. I have a couple of raised gardens. You have to keep the quality of the soil up by adding specific nutrients. The quality of the soil is important, because the plant is only able to have for nutrients what it's taken from the soil it's grown in. There's a lot to know in this arena.
