Hi
I have a history of poor dental health - most of it genetic! And despite my best efforts, was gutted when my seven year old was told that she needed a filling - she has a soft spot on her back molar (all baby teeth were fine!) despite having them sealed. The dentist explained that there was nothing I could do to prevent this. I am gutted and heart broken that my baby has to go through the trauma of a cavity. The dentist has explained that this will make the tooth stronger. Equally I am reading that early childhood cavities increases the chances of further work. I have done everything I was supposed to do-breastfed my child, organic food, limit sugar, brush teeth, floss,
healthy Diet etc. Took my child to the dentist every 6 months since she was 2.
Any advice on what I can do to help prevent this from happening again.
I have ordered the book ' Cure tooth decay', but would be grateful to hear from other parents. (And I am trying to get the strength up not to fall apart in front of my kid...I hate going to the dentist).
I am now oil pulling every day in the hope of turning my gum health around..and trying to avoid a root canal.
Thanks in advance,
