The magnesium is not going to make a bit of difference since the "stones" are being formed in the intestines. They are not coming from the gallbladder or liver.
For example someone recently made the comment that you can get these same green, squishy, floating blobs with coffee enemas. By the way real gallstones are not squishy and do not float. So why does the coffee create these little blobs despite no magnesium sulfate to relax the biliary ducts? Simple. As I mentioned in numerous posts many of these "stones" are formed from a reaction of sterols, normally from olive oil, with cholesterol. Sterols have a very high affinity for cholesterol, which is why they are used to lower cholesterol. They bind tightly with cholesterol from diet and from bile released in to the intestines forming little green, squishy and floating blobs. And guess what coffee contains? Yep, that's right. Coffee also contains sterols!!!! These big green, squishy, floating blobs ARE NOT gallstones.
OK, I won't go into a discussion here. I don't care if the flushes work in removing gallstones, I don't care about the nature of the "stones" in the toilet bowl, the flushes work for symptoms of other problems and that's what I'm after. PERIOD.
Chemotherapy can relive the symptoms of cancer. Does this make it safe or effective?
Can you please shut up, use your own thread, I'm asking for experiences here not for critique of the flusing in general.

i read a few other pages on this forum, and the notion that oil and grapefruit combine to make solid stones is so completely wacky
Many of these pseudostones are from a simple saponification reaction that is taught in first year chemistry. So the reaction is very well known.
Sterol-cholesterol binding is also a well known chemical reaction. In fact sterols are frequently used to lower cholesterol for this reason.
And finally, in cases where people actually had these blobs analyzed the lab determined their chemistry was not of real gallstones but rather saponified olive oil.
you want to take enough to give you diarrhea which means that you are fully saturated with magnesium.
Saturation has nothing to do with it. Here is information on laxatives and their basis:
