Look, peggy, I'm not being "negative" - in fact I made it clear that I was being supportive of it *for you* because it works *for you* and I support whatever someone wants to do with themselves if they're well informed.
But you can't post a controversial method and expect that people aren't going to offer alternative points of view and make sure that people reading the forum are well informed of a range of opinions and information.
And the fact is that a great deal of people taking these extreme measures have difficulty with intrusive thinking around food and compulsive over eating. Reading the types of things you wrote can be very triggering in a way that doesn't just tell people they're not a failure if they get off track (since when did I ever say that) but also provokes them to give into temptation. Its like describing a good wine to an alcoholic trying to go sober and telling them it wont hurt (its not *the same* of course but you can understand the analogy). I am just offering some things that they might want to think about *also*, that make sense to *me* just like what you write makes sense to *you*. There is nothing hostile or negative about my views and explanations of them just because they differ from yours - just as there is nothing hostile or negative about yours just because they differ from mine (and when applied to yourself, I must agree with you, since I think it is best for everyone to do what works for them and this works for you).
Please try to assume good faith on another's part and don't take opinions that I went to lengths to *explicitly premise as in no way personal criticisms of what you're doing* as if they're attacking you. Because when you write the kindof stuff you did about me, not just about the information I offered, that is not a good direction to go in. Thanks.
