Opposition to the landmark health care overhaul declined over the past month, to 35 percent from 41 percent, according to the latest results of a tracking poll, reported Thursday.
Fifty percent of the public held a favorable view of the law, up slightly from 48 percent a month ago, while 14 percent expressed no opinion about the measure, according to the poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation.
The approval level was the highest for the legislation since it was enacted in March, after a divisive year-long debate. In April, the poll found 46 percent in favor and 40 percent opposed.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,661,316You could be right or the reason could be that people are beginning to see that their worst fears haven't been realized. Since the survey didn't ask these questions, we won't know for sure one way or the other.

This is a reply to # 1,661,338I doubt it , since the program hasnt been installed yet! How would one know about the death panels until one day you needed a kidney transplant and you where rejected because you didnt fit the profile! I think it would be a long time before people will realize whether their worse fear have been realized or not with a government run program! The last thing you gonna get with an obama plan is clarity or exposure!

This is a reply to # 1,661,310I used to line my birdcage with newspaper, but after the birdie croaked, had to cancel my subscription since it had no other use.

And we can all be sure that Kaiser, as in Kaiser Permanente, has no vested interest in giving favorable figures for support of the healthcare bill. After all, they are merely one of the biggest insurers around and it is estimated that insurance companies will be getting 32 million new customers as a result of the bill.
