A Muslim mob in Jhelum, Pakistan murdered the wife and four children of a Christian last month, but local authorities are too afraid of the local Muslim leader to file charges, according to area Muslim and Christian sources.
Jamshed Masih, a police officer who was transferred 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Gujrat to Jhelum, Punjab Province, said a mob led by Muslim religious leader Maulana Mahfooz Khan killed his family on June 21 after Khan called him to the local mosque and told him to leave the predominantly Muslim colony. Jhelum is 85 kilometers (53 miles) south of Islamabad.
“You must leave with your family, no non-Muslim has ever been allowed to live in this colony – we want to keep our colony safe from scum,” Khan told Masih, the bereaved Christian told Compass.
Sarah, the Subject line has been cut and pasted from the original article, as well as the story of what happened.
Are you going to determine for everybody on this forum what they can post, or for that matter what they can read?
If you aren't comfortable with the truth [news] then don't read any articles that have to do with your part of the world.
Run, and see if you can get this retracted from the New York Times also. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/03/world/asia/03pstan.html
Maybe you can get this article pulled also. http://www.persecutionblog.com/ Scroll down to article.
Here's another. http://www.speroforum.com/a/29011/Pakistani-Christian-burned-alive-to-prevent...
Maybe you could get this web site removed because Sarah doesn't want you reading about what goes on in the muslim world.
Here's a whole damn page. Get them all removed from the internet. http://www.google.com/search?q=Christian+Family+killed+in+pakistan&rls=co...
What gives you the right to say anything to anybody about what is posted, or what is read. You made the choice for that religion, now live with what it represents, or change it.
You can post an article but not continually hate articles.
The articles are about muslim and their intolerance of other people, and/or other religions. If hate is what comes from those articles, you're going to have to suck it up because that must be the story line.
It's a sad day when your religion has so many articles with what you feel is constant hate related events that have to feel like it's your job to stick up for your religion. I don't mock you, you mock yourself.
I again call on the Webmaster to remove you from the forum as you are attacking a religion and that is against TOS guidelines.
You're goofy.
If I counted how many articles you report on Muslims compared to your other messages, I thing we would be way over 70percent.
You've been out in the desert sun to long.
It is my right as a member of this forum, not a moderator to ask for your removal.
So what's stopping you.
Now if we don't have TOS guidelines anymore, then hey you can stay.
Gee thanks, LOL
Dear Sara (That's Sara -NO *H*- Sara!)
Sara....It isn't very often at all, in fact quite rare that I make a cameo appearance on these forums, especially this one, but alas, you DID call for a moderator, and since no-one else has answered you, I says to myself, "Me, why don't you answer this one"? So I answered myself, "Sure, why not?" and the voices all agreed.
My dear Sara, if expressing a negative and even hostile opinion over a religion were against TOS, then Curezone would have exploded years ago. Quite to the contrary, this is the reason why there are a gazillion forums that were created on this website expressly for that purpose. Yep, that's right. See,the Webmaster is a funny kind of guy. He doesn't like confrontations himself, yet he has this crazy idea that people should be allowed to express whatever they please, so long as they are doing so in the proper venue. And what, say some, is the proper venue? Well, anything that is not a support forum for a particular subject is open season for criticism from anybody. I know, I know....sometimes that's a little rough to endure, but hey, that's the bleep about free speech, it always steps on someone's toes!
I don't come in here taking sides you know - because it is my firm outlook in life that being a good moderator implies putting my own twisted opinions on a lock box. However, if truth be told, very little criticism has ever crept over to the Islam forum, in comparison to all the nasty stuff that is said daily about Christianity on most of the debate forums. I know, I'm the cop who comes on the scene when the debate spills over into the support forums. Humph....! You think people like me? Everyone is sure I took the other guy's side and then hate me for it. (Sigh!) But you ought to know, I've fended off a few trolls outta your camp from time to time.
Bottom line Sara, I don't feel that In Charge, who has been on CZ longer than any of us, has violated any rules on these debate forums. Take a good honest look at the kind of stuff that is posted on all the debate forums and tell me if you still think that yours is a unique position - Pleeze!
Some folks might even say that popping into a forum exclusively to scold another poster for posting unpopular viewpoints, is in itself a violation of sorts.
I really am sorry that you feel offended. These forums are by nature offensive and not for the faint hearted, there are many who have been insulted over the years. Never the less, I have learned from the Webmaster, I think allowing people their say in the right forums is a good idea. Freedom is a rare commodity. I think I'll follow webbie's lead on this one.
Now, have a merry day Curezoners! Play nice.
Probably wouldn't hurt. Or you can insert the subject line into google to get the article.
Not that it would matter to the one that complains. Seems like the news is bothersome. Kind of like the mainstream media.
