hi iv just had my Amalgams all removed 7in total with white compoites but i can still see abit of Amalgam in to of them wot should i do as i am scared that all there done i coverd them with white composite and not taken them out at all is there anyway i can find out wether there actually taken the Amalgam out or just missid afew bits im fuming with them as its cost me a arm&leg for this and havent got anymore money now please help- Re: amalgam removal Count Blah

This is a reply to # 1,649,505Most likely what you are seeing is the staining from the amalgams. It is somewhat unknown as to what this staining contains. It may be from the silver in the amalgams, or it might be from the mercury. The amount of danger from them is also unknown.
Composite fillings do not stick to mercury fillings as far as I know. So they cant simply cover them up with the composite filling.
You need to go to a dentist to confirm that there are actual pieces of mercury there and not just staining. If they left pieces of mercury they should fix it by removing them.

Hi thanks for the reply, i visited the dentist today and she confirmed that she did a rushed job and left most of it underneath two of them but apparently the other 5 were done properly, i have a appointment for next week so she can do her job properly this time but for obvious reason i dont trust her now as she took my money and tried to send me away thinking i had all of the Amalgam removed. i have asked her for a xray but i was wondering would a xray show every bit of Amalgam left in my teeth ? and also would a little bit left in my mouth still cause health problems?

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,649,850After she removes all the Amalgam from those two teeth you should have her give you a mirror so you can see it is all gone. Thats what they did for me and I was in Mexico.
I am not sure if an xray can penetrate a composite filling,if not it could block the view of the amalgam.

This is a reply to # 1,650,620i will ask to see them in mirror that there out thats wot i should of done last time but luckyly enough i saw the siver in these to fillings otherwise i would of never known, its also my fault i didnt go to a hollistic dentist and just got someone that didnt care to take them out iv fault really tired and weak since having them removed and cant think straght its horrible. after shes removed these two should i chelate as im worried she hasnt removed all the Amalgam in the other 5 fillings and that could make me worse also i dont no wot i should be using as theres so much contradiction im lostAdvertisement

This is a reply to # 1,650,929You have to be sure you got the Amalgam out. Since she left some in you cant trust what she did.

This is a reply to # 1,651,182once again thanks for ur reply mate im a bit lost as wot to do now as iv spent all the money i had on having them removed i no its not ideal to have Amalgam in thats y i got them removed but if shes left a tiny bit under each one and its been filled over by composite then surely it cant leech anymore as its filled over or am i wrong in thinking that as i cant seem to find any info on the net about it.

But teeth are porous so it can leach out through them. How much is unknown.
