..didn't bag all that many long critters on that
but I did bag this guy..
as for "size"..this is getting very confusing.
to start with..I'm up loading photos at 640x480 [vga].
and 96 dpi
they are being displayed at curezone as XVGA [800x600]
and 87 dpi
..say what? If I do a calculation using the critters size
at vga..that goes out the window..when everyone is
seeing the critter at a larger scale..
[if critter were running "wall to wall" lefty righty..
he would be 185mm wide on MY pic...the one on my puter..
in PAINT..in VGA.
but at curezone..and Xvga scale..he would be 235 mm wide.
[I just measured this..not like I have a life or anything
this is quite vexing. How can one state a "magnification"
when the presentation size keeps changing.??
...then there are the folks with the really W I D E monitors that might be viewing things..even larger
than most of the folks...
...or..take a digital light projector..and throw it
against the wall..now the critters is six feet wide.
now what is the mag?..[.."here we have a plesiosaur at
18,000 magnification.]..balderdash..he's that big NOW
but how can that be a "real" number? Book publishers
have it easy..the photo on the page doesn't keep changing

here..but..bunch of numbers got scrapped..fuzzy brain
just remembered that removing the 2MP imager..by definition
means losing the original triplet lens at the bottom of
the hand held microscope...errg..more complications.
Handheld microscope cam max mag appx 200x..however..
the imager was removed and parked on top of the bench scope..using only the 10x objective lens..and a 60mm
tube extender[ Two 23mm lens adapters taped together]
under the 2MP imager. Magnification is
now.."a mystery..". Will have to run a test with calibration slide..with the hillbilly tube extension
in place. The goofy rig worked pretty good..just can't
"prove" how good...yet.
