((if anyone attempts this, would you be courteous and report back your experience)) **PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR PROTOZOA OR AMOEBIC PARASITES**
from ABChomeopathy forum::
"Here is some information this will help you: I was very sick with an amoebic
parasite in spring of 2000. The infection was quite well established, and normal medications were not entirely quelling the colony - they kept returning in full force. I finally had to undergo colonoscopy.
For the process of emptying my intestine, pre-op, I used a saline product made by Fleet, called Phospho-Soda (sodium phosphate). Non-prescription, get it at your local pharmacy. Be sure to read the directions, but essentially, one goes on a liquid-only diet for 24 hours to allow most of the solids to escape the intestine, then the Fleet is taken with lots of water.
It was discovered afterwards that the infection was quelled and that my colon was beginning to heal. The unofficial diagnosis was that the very strong saline solution and flushing effect had eviscerated/killed the parsitic organisms and removed them from the intestine and colon, and had also helped to sooth those tissues.
Later, in sharing this information with a friend who trains horses professionally, she agreed. She said that in cases when horses with intestinal infections will not respond to
Antibiotics , they are flushed out with a saline wash and that "this works every time."
Regarding traditional homeopathic medicines - 1x, 2x, 10x, etc. - amoebic
parasites can be very nasty and can escape the intestine to infect and seriously damage other organs, especially the liver. I have respect for homeopatic medicine, but the principles of how it works are not consistent with the rapid intervention needed to stop a vigorous infection of such parasites. Be SURE you get competent medical advice. In any case, the saline method above is safe and will very likely be helpful.
Best wishes to you...."
Addendum to my message concerning the use of Fleet Phospho-Soda:
This product is normally used as a laxative. The directions provided with the product are to use small amounts before bedtime, etc. The intended use for the process I describe in my original reply is quite different, and was provided by my gastro-intestinal physician.
The Fleet comes in a 6-oz bottle. Patient takes half the contents in the morning, followed by 16 to 24
ounces of water immediately, and at least 8
ounces of water each hour for several hours afterwards. 12 hours after the first dose, take the remaining amount of Fleet with equivalent amounts of water. You will, of course, need to remain near the bathroom, especially during the first phase, and will be visiting it often. The generous water intake is VERY important, due to the electrolyte imbalance in the body caused by the ingestion of saline (Fleet).
Again, this is unofficial as reported on this forum, but these directions were provided by my physician/specialist during my illness.

Some one well versed in Chemistry could please tell every one what is "NATRUM PHOS" >>>>> one of the twelvew cell salts normally used in 3X or 6X potency either by itself or in combinations.
It is very effective in cleaning up the intestines and helps reduce flatulence/acidity.
Best,
