Hey everybody,
Hope you are well. I'm going post up my experiences here. I've just started my 2nd morning of my fast. I hope to fast 5-7 days. I have fasted several times in the past, however I think only my first one counts for real.
My first fast was in Dec. 2008? and lasted for 5 days. Water only.
My second two fasts were each 5 days and 7 days but in addition to water I was smoking cigs and cigaw**ds. So those don't count.
This time, I haven't smoked cigaw**d in 25 days and prior to my First Day, I withheld from smoking cigs and drinking alcohol for 2 and 3 days respectively. I also ate a pretty
healthy Diet on those last 3 days before. Cucumbers and rice.
I'm 5'7-5'8ish and last night weighed in at 160.6 lbs.
Reasons I am fasting: fat loss(beer gut), my lungs have to be messed up after smoking for so many years (10), and dependence on alcohol.
I'm pretty active, but even so I know I can be better and quit smoking and drinking is a priority for me. Believe or not I have been able to function at a high level for a while despite putting those poisons in my body. Hopefully this time will be THE new beginning for me. I think I'm off to a decent start but it is only Day 2. I think what has me in such a good mood is that it is the first time I honestly abstained from cigs and alcohol and cigaw**d a few days before fasting.
Anyways.. just some Day 2 (technically 36ish hours in) rambling.
